Seattle ISPI Board of Directors Roles and Responsibilities
President
- Develop and maintain chapter Constitution and By-Laws
- Facilitate board meetings
- Prepare board meeting agenda, set date/times/locations
- Open/welcome attendees to monthly meetings
- Write website president’s message
- Represent Seattle chapter to national ISPI
- Provide vision and direction for chapter in concert with chapter mission
VP Finance
- Make bank deposits
- Reconcile bank statements
- Pay bills
- Pay reimbursements
- Create and deliver financial reports
- Maintain check register
VP Programming
- Determine programs—find workshop speakers/presenters.
- Evaluate speaker proposals for workshops
- Work out the details for presenters and last minute confirmations.
- Arrange for out-of-town presenter accommodations and travel arrangements
- Introduce presenters at meetings.
VP Program Logistics
- Locate and secure meeting facilities
- Create meeting sign-in sheets showing paid members
- Print appropriate announcements/flyers for meeting
- Provide directions to meeting locations when needed
- Secure thank you gifts
- Assure greeting table supplies are at each meeting (i.e. badges, pens, all handouts—coordinate with the VP of Communications for current copies)
- Oversee speaker evaluation process
VP of Marketing / Communications
- Manage ongoing communication strategy
- Maintain a electronic master of all ISPI chapter documents
- Manage website
- Send meeting invitations and reminders
- Manage job opportunity announcements process
VP of Membership
- Grow membership
- Track maintain membership database
- Collect dues
- Send reminder letters for members about to expire.
- Set-up and man welcome table, sign in sheet.
- Collect /meeting fees.
